Devotion 1-27-24, Psalm 48:9 - 10 - "We have thought on Your lovingkindness, O God, In the midst of Your temple. As is Your name, O God, So is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness." Does "God-thinking" permeate your thought processes all day? Is your own body - mind, soul and spirit, dedicated to God? "Your temple," refers to an ancient building and your personal body. with Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, the site of God's temple became you! How frequently do your thoughts turn God's lovingkindness, His steadfast unending love? Is praise of God continually on your mind and on your lips? How does God come first, when He is not spoken first. God requires honesty with ourselves before any other activity. He expects us to be aware, honest, and real in our own self-evaluation. We may choose to think on God's lovingkindness and His righteousness. Or, we may choose to knaw on harms and hurts. Our words and actions reflect our thinking. If we choose to conform our inward conversation to God's love, rightousness and justice, we choose to speak His praise openly to the world. If we choose to honor His name deep within our heart, we will praise His name in every situation. Your temple, your body - mind, soul, and spirit, is the seat of your decisions. Will you praise God to the end of the earth and reflect His love, righteousness, and justice? It is up to you!
