Devotion 12-13-23 Psalms 37:23 - "The steps of a man are established by the Lord, And He delights in his way. ... The law of his God is in his heart; His steps do not slip." Here is an amazing thought! We may be a delight to God! When we enter into an intimate, exclusive, relationship with God, the Word, Jesus Christ, Maker and Sustainer of all things, when we intentionally chose God and His ways, we are a delight to Him. God unendingly offers relationship. He never ceases to hold out hope. He never stops providing salvation through Jesus Christ to all who will listen and come to Him. God is the source of righteousness, justice, wisdom and courage. He will delight over anyone who seeks God's ways, God's steps, God's heart. The one who seeks God will find Him. The one who intentionally, daily, spends time with God, in His Word, will find God's law has been deeply planted. Verse 39- "The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in time of trouble." We find that our obedience and adherence to God's ways allows us to remain steadfast in God during crisis times. We become the rock people can depend on. We are God's good representatives, because we have God's law in us and we conduct life based on that law. We are not easily led astray by those who follow wicked ways. Verse 34- " Wait for the Lord and keep His way, And He will exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you will see it." Verse 40- " The Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, Because they take refuge in Him."
