Devotion's by Deborah

Devotion 11-27-23 Psalms 99:9 , "Exalt the Lord our God And worship at His holy hill, For holy is the Lord our God." Psalms 99 is a song of praise to God. It ought to challenge us to consider the magnitude of our God. How big is your God? Is he a god that can be contained and kept under control? Is he a god that can be created with your hands, an idol? Is he actually the enemy, disguised as an angel of light, giving bits of truth stirred in with massive lies and deception? Or, is God the God of everything? Is God the creator of all that is? Is God, Master and Judge over all that exists? You must decide, and then think and act accordingly. Psalm 99:4 says, "The strength of the King loves justice; You have established equity; You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob." Only God, Lord of all, may rightly do this. Only He knows the thoughts and intents of our hearts. Only He is beyond influence and coercion in dispensing justice, righteousness, and reasoned consequences. If we exalt Him, if we choose to worship Him, if we live our lives toward Him, we have chosen well. We have chosen life. We have chosen what and whom may not be taken from us. "Exalt the LORD" in every thought, word, and deed "for holy is the LORD our God!"
